Microsoft 365 Government Community Cloud (GCC) High Migration Status

Microsoft 365 Government Community Cloud (GCC) High Migration Status

Problem

There have been bumps in the road impacting aspects of Microsoft Office, Email and Teams for many users.

Solution

SURVICE IT is feverishly working with users and the vendor to resolution, and the team appreciate everyone's patience as we overcome.
Please continue to put in tickets as needed.
  1. Multiple tickets by employees are discouraged. It clogs up the system and delays support for other employees.
  2. Work with your SURVICE IT Professional through completion and full resolution.

02 May 2024 Update

Here is a link for help with setting up your email, including on your phone: https://support.survice.com/portal/en/kb/articles/exchange-migration
Remember, accessing email on your phone requires you have a signed Mobile Device User Agreement on file with IT.

17 April 2024 Update

IT is working on the following issues with the migration:
  1. We purchased Microsoft 365 F3 licenses for users who don’t necessarily need the Office desktop apps but can use Office web apps.
    1. We’ve discovered that the license that showed up in our license portal is Office 365 F3, not Microsoft 365 F3, which is a completely different product with less features.  We’re working with the vendor that we purchased our license from to get this corrected in our license portal.
      1. Affected users may not to be able to access SURVICE resources on their phones.
      2. Affected users can’t use Teams voice.
  2. We have successfully migrated email accounts and tested them.  Our testing found that the calendar sync is not working for email accounts even up in the cloud.  So, we’re addressing that before we migrate people to the cloud.
  3. Android phones are not being issued certificates, even though Microsoft Intune is reporting that they are successfully issued certificates.  We have a case in with MS about this.

09 April 2024 Update

A couple of things we have noted:

  1. If you have a meeting that had a Teams link in it, you will need to delete the entire meeting and re-add it.  I can give you the technical details if you want, but that’s what we have to do
  2. We’re aware of people having issues adding Teams links to new calendar items.  If anyone experiences this, have them contact the Help Desk.
  3. James has people testing the Teams chat archive.  If someone have an URGENT BUSINESS NEED, they can reach out to him to test it
  4. Teams calendars are not populating.  I spent an hour looking into this, but it’ll be OBE when once your email gets migrated to the cloud (which we’ll be starting tomorrow).
  5. Email and document labelling was accidentally set to force.  It has been set back to optional.  There’s no need to label anything yet.
