Zoom Usage on SURVICE computers

Zoom Usage on SURVICE computers

Question:

I've recently received a meeting invite for a Zoom meeting and/or have a need to use Zoom for a meeting with one of my customers. Where does SURVICE IT stand with Zoom use? And are there any differences between Zoom and ZoomGov?

Answer:

SURVICE IT permits the use of Zoom on SURVICE issued laptops. However, there are differences in Zoom versions that must be accounted for.

Zoom Meetings and Zoom Gov meetings each have different invitation links.

   - A Regular Zoom meeting invite link looks like this:

Regular Zoom meetings are NOT authorized by DoD for CUI disclosure in any form under any circumstance.

Any Zoom Link that does not contain the words "ZoomGov" is not authorized for CUI disclosure.

Any unauthorized disclosure of CUI over Regular Zoom should be immediately reported to SURVICE IT.

  - A Zoom Gov meet looks like this:

Should it be required, ZoomGov meetings are authorized for CUI disclosure.

Users are still responsible for safeguarding any CUI they are in possession of.
If you are unsure of the appropriate measures required to protect CUI, please contact SURVICE IT.
