Clear Browser Cache

Problem

User has been instructed to clear browser cache and "usually" try again. 

Solution

Google Chrome

  1. From the Google Chrome browser go to:  chrome://settings/clearBrowserData.
  2. Select the Advanced tab.
  3. Select the Time range drop down and be sure to set it to All time
  4. At minimum, check Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.

Depending on your problem, you may want to scroll and select more cached information to clear.
  1. Select the Delete data button. 

Microsoft Edge

  1. From the Microsoft Edge browser go to:  edge://settings/clearbrowserdata
  2. From the right full browser frame, locate and select the Choose what to clear button located in the Delete browsing data section.
  3. Select the time range drop down and be sure to set it to All time
  4. At minimum, check Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
Depending on your problem, you may want to scroll and select more cached information to clear.
  1. Select the Clear now button. 

Mozilla Firefox

  1. From the Mozilla Firefox browser go to:  about:preferences#privacy
  2. From the right full browser frame, locate and select the Clear Data button located in the Cookies and Site data section.
  3. Select the When drop down and be sure to set it to Everything
  4. At minimum, check Cookies and other site data and Temporary cached files and pages.

Depending on your problem, you may want to scroll and select more cached information to clear.
  1. Select the Clear button.
