Clear Browser Cache
Problem
User has been instructed to clear browser cache and "usually" try again.
Solution
Google Chrome
- From the Google Chrome browser go to: chrome://settings/clearBrowserData.
- Select the Advanced tab.
- Select the Time range drop down and be sure to set it to All time.
- At minimum, check Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
Depending on your problem, you may want to scroll and select more cached information to clear.
- Select the Delete data button.
Microsoft Edge
- From the Microsoft Edge browser go to: edge://settings/clearbrowserdata
- From the right full browser frame, locate and select the Choose what to clear button located in the Delete browsing data section.
- Select the time range drop down and be sure to set it to All time.
- At minimum, check Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
Depending on your problem, you may want to scroll and select more cached information to clear.
- Select the Clear now button.
Mozilla Firefox
- From the Mozilla Firefox browser go to: about:preferences#privacy
- From the right full browser frame, locate and select the Clear Data button located in the Cookies and Site data section.
- Select the When drop down and be sure to set it to Everything.
- At minimum, check Cookies and other site data and Temporary cached files and pages.
Depending on your problem, you may want to scroll and select more cached information to clear.
- Select the Clear button.
